Biography:
Dr. Marton's research, which combines theoretical and empirical methods, focuses on health economics with an emphasis on
government regulation and asymmetric information issues in health insurance markets. He has authored or co-authored multiple papers examining the
impact of the introduction of premiums into Kentucky's public health insurance program for children. His recent research is forthcoming in the
Journal of Policy Analysis and Management and the Journal of Urban Economics, Inquiry, and Economic Theory. Dr. Marton has a joint appointment
with the U.K. College of Pharmacy and is also a faculty affiliate of the UK Center for Poverty Research.
Dr. Marton is on leave for 2006-2007 academic year visiting the Taubman Center for Public Policy at Brown University.
