Biography:
Holly R. Barcus is Assistant Professor of Geography at Macalester College. She received her doctorate in Geography from Kansas State University in 2001 and joined the Institute for Regional Analysis and Public Policy (IRAPP) at Morehead State University the same year. Dr. Barcus teaches Introductory and Advanced courses in Geographic Information Systems and Population Geography. Her research interests include migration and population change in rural areas, with particular emphasis on the changing fortunes of rural communities and the corresponding implications for changes in rural housing quality and accessibility.
